Celebrants Association of New Zealand

Branch News

CANZ is a national organisation - as a large group we meet for Education Forums and Conferences.  As part of our network of support we also meet as branches and interest groups.

We currently have five Branches located in Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Wellington, Southern (Otago and Southland). These offer opportunities for local celebrants to meet together for ongoing professional development, to network, and to support other initiatives such as joint marketing, attending expos, or simply to socialise and share ideas.  Most Branches publish a newsletter via email and some coordinate smaller peer learning groups within their regions. They can also connect newer celebrants with a mentor.

Members who are in more geographically isolated areas are linked currently through a Members-at-Large network, which receives regular newsletters and ongoing support from a member of the National Executive.

If, in any region, a nucleus of celebrants forms which is interested in creating a new Branch, CANZ has simple processes in place for this to occur. The purpose of a Branch is to facilitate members meeting and generating whatever mutual support mechanisms they would find helpful.  CANZ envisages Branches forming in Canterbury, Northland, Nelson-Marlborough, Hawkes Bay and Taranaki in the not-too-distant future.

If you would like more information on a Branch near to you, please fill out a request on the Contact Us tab and someone will be in touch with you.

Never underestimate either the power or the pleasure generated through professional  networks!
