Celebrant since 1995

I am registered with the NZ Department of Internal Affairs as an independent marriage celebrant and civil union celebrant. I have officiated at wedding ceremonies since 1995. I feel honoured to meet with couples and work with them in designing a ceremony that is unique to their story and their hopes for the future. My aim is always to create a ceremony that is true to the individuals involved and reflects the essence of their love and commitment.

As a celebrant, I also work with grieving families in planning and leading funerals. I count it a huge privilege to facilitate the process of bringing together the memories and finding the best ways to celebrate the life of their loved one and saying goodbye.

I also facilitate other ceremonies such as baby namings, house blessings, special birthdays, and other significant moments in people’s lives.

I have studied and worked in a variety of fields including teaching, chaplaincy, and retail, and have mixed with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. This has given me a broad perspective in working as a celebrant. I bring a warmth and sensitivity to my work and find that those I work with appreciate my friendly approach and my attention to detail.

I enjoy being a grandma, singing, walking along the beach and taking the opportunity to travel when I can. For me the most important aspect of life is relationships, so much of my time is spent enjoying the company of my friends and family.

If you choose me as your celebrant, you can be assured that I will take the utmost care to understand your situation and what it is you are wanting to celebrate. My commitment will be to take your hopes and dreams to heart, and to deliver a well-crafted ceremony with the focus always being on what is important to you.
